How is REAL calculated?

The REAL Impact Score was developed in collaboration with world leading data science partner, Identrics. Identrics PHD qualified data scientists in partnership with Medianet’s award winning human analysts co-developed a rigorous new metric that is a genuine alternative to existing outdated industry measures.

Instead of relying on AVE/ASR as a legacy way to track media value, the REAL Impact Score algorithm contains 3 core pillars — Outlet, Article, and Author. These pillars provide a more accurate and dynamically updating view of an article. This is a true measure of impact that you can rely on. 


The REAL Impact Score is not static, it will evolve with NLP technology refining our algorithms further and new data points being added over time.
