Kmart Shirley to relocate to new store in Papanui, Christchurch

Kmart Shirley will be relocating to the new Northlink shopping precinct on Langdons Road in Papanui, Christchurch in early 2020, Kmart announced to its team members today.

The proposed 4,500m2 store will showcase a fresh store layout, which is being rolled out nationally in a commitment to an improved shopping experience for customers; from irresistibly low priced everyday products through to easy-to-shop product worlds across kids, clothing and home.

Kmart Papanui is set to make shopping more convenient and accessible to the community of Christchurch, by offering over six hundred on-site car parks. Other noticeable updates instore include; central self-serve check outs, wider aisles for easy wheel chair and pram access, as well as bolder graphics for navigation and a more convenient shopping experience.

Kmart New Zealand would like to sincerely thank the landlords and tenants at The Palms in Shirley for their support since opening the store back in 1996. “The decision to relocate the store to Papanui is part of our vision to continue to grow our store network in Christchurch, and we are doing this by ensuring our stores are in the best locations to service our customers now and well into the future.
