MEDIA ALERT: NSW clinical service launches website to support caregivers of refugees in schools

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Today the Hints for Healing website was launched online by the STARTTS School Liaison Team. This new website is dedicated to curating practical resources, case studies, podcasts, professional learning and research articles to support the educators and school counsellors who play an instrumental role in the recovery, resettlement and development of learners with a refugee experience.

The project began in 2008 as a quarterly e-zine that brought together case studies, interviews and articles designed to strengthen student welfare personnel’s knowledge and skills about the needs of students with refugee experience.

“From 2020 onwards, we have the goal of making quality resources more readily accessible to educators and school counsellors.

This is a collaboration between STARTTS in Schools and partners, alongside our Early Childhood Program, to bring you the Hints for Healing website,” said Shaun Nemorin, STARTTS School Liaison Program Team Leader.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and ideas for content! Please drop us a line at hintsforhealing@startts.org.au
