CBD move for the digital marketeers behind Australia's leading fashion and lifestyle brands
E-commerce marketing agency Search Insights has set sail from Manly to a new Sydney CBD studio and office space, as the company moves towards its third successful year in business.
The dynamic agency has remained below the radar so far, thanks to each of its projects netted by referral, but its client list reads like a who’s who of high street retail and Australian design. Search Insights pulls the digital and social marketing strings for kaftan queen Camilla, iconic jewellery brand Jan Logan and edgy accessory label Mania Mania, Australian designers Ginger & Smart, fast-fashion brand Showpo, and new to the client stable, The Upside – activewear designed by fashion influencer Jodhi Meares.
Behind the Search Insights winning formula is 27-year-old Sydneysider and SEO/digital marketing expert Jay Wright. The entrepreneurs’ first rung on the career ladder was in the finance industry in 2004 culminating in London as a derivatives trader. While he thrived on the business and people side, ultimately Jay realised finance wasn’t his true calling and when the markets turned he took the opportunity to start his first agency and immerse himself in the world of digital marketing.
He launched two web-based businesses next, one of which, Granny Flat Finder, was a runaway success growing to 5,000 daily page views in under 12 months. And in 2013 Jay sold 51% of the company and entered in to a major deal with one of Australia’s largest real estate companies.
Search Insights was founded in August 2012 with Jay – only 24 at the time - at the helm and a core team of full time employees plus partners and team members who are called on for specific projects. The agency started life in Manly, the perfect location for keen surfer Jay, but has now moved to a spacious studio and offices in Sydney’s Market Street to be in the heart of the city and easily accessible for clients.
Today the Search Insights team works across all aspects of digital marketing for their brands, including SEO and paid advertising, web project management, social media strategies, email marketing, and digital PR.
Jay cites building his team and scoring the new office as two of his biggest achievements to date – after the tough working environment of the finance industry he was determined to build a working atmosphere that was creative, empowering, and fun. Many of his core team members have been with him from the very beginning.
On the client side, Search Insights boasts consistent year on year growth for its brands – a prime example being Camilla, who signed with the agency in 2013 and has stayed a loyal client after receiving consecutive years of record revenue growth. It’s easy to see why Search Insights’ clients stay for the long run – the agency has kept brands such as Camilla, Babyography and Designer Forum in its stable from launch.
Jay said: “Search Insights has started 2015 with great achievements, bringing a raft of new projects on board from up-and-coming fashion labels to iconic luxury brands. Our new office marks further expansion for our agency and we are excited to be growing to the next level and continuing to attract new clients and talent.”
