Can I edit or cancel a press release that has been sent or is on hold?

Last-minute changes? Cancel and edit press releases instantly.

You can edit a press release that is on hold up until 10 minutes before it is scheduled to be sent. Once it is sent, it cannot be edited or retracted. Medianet sends your press release exactly as it is written; therefore, please carefully proofread your content before submitting it (we recommend having at least one other person review your press release). Draft press releases can be viewed by all users from an organisation to allow your team to collaborate to create the perfect pitch.

  • To edit the held release, click on the pencil icon and confirm that you wish to ’Reverse and edit’ it. Click on ‘Refresh Status’ to update the page and you will find the press release under ‘Drafts’, where you can proceed with editing it by clicking on the pencil icon.
  • To cancel the held release, click on the cross icon and confirm that you wish to ‘Cancel and save a draft’. Click on ‘Refresh Status’ to update the page and you will find the press release under ‘Drafts’, where you can proceed with deleting it by clicking on the bin icon.

If you do notice a mistake after sending a press release, please be sure to contact us as soon as possible.
