Medical experts from around the world hitting Melbourne’s pavement for NETwalk


Medical experts from around the world, NET patients and their families will be lacing up their sneakers and pounding the pavement tomorrow morning on World NET Cancer Day to help raise awareness for neuroendocrine cancer (NETS), the cancer that killed Aretha Franklin and Steve Jobs.

WHO:
Leading Peter MacCallum specialists in the field of neuroendocrine cancer (NETS), Simone Leyden, CEO of the Unicorn Foundation, NET patients and their families

 

WHAT: NETWalk, a 5km fun run around South Wharf to help raise awareness for neuroendocrine cancer on World NET Cancer Day, hosted by the Unicorn Foundation.

 

WHY: To raise awareness for neuroendocrine cancer on World NET Cancer Day.

 

WHEN: Saturday 10th November 2018, 7.00am – 8.15am


WHERE:
Polly Woodside Park, Corner of South Wharf Promenade and Orrs Walk, South Wharf, Melbourne.

 

PHOTO OP AND INTERVIEWS: Available from 7.00am, at the commencement of walk. Interviews with medical experts and patients can be arranged.
