Ai-Media's Alex Jones Steps Down

Ai-Media co-founder Alex Jones today announced his departure from his day-to-day role at the company. Mr Jones remains a shareholder and will continue to be an ambassador for Ai-Media’s vision of ending the experience of exclusion faced by people with disability.

Ai-Media was founded in 2003 as a captioning provider and social enterprise dedicated to ending social, educational and vocational exclusion. The company is now a leading provider of fast accurate speech-to-text services globally.

Mr Jones said: “I am very proud of Ai-Media and its achievements, including our advocacy for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) over the last six years. This is a critical time for disability reform in Australia. The disability landscape is evolving quickly and my ambition is to engage directly in policy development and implementation.”

Ai-Media co-founder and CEO Tony Abrahams said: “It has been an exciting journey with Alex over the past decade and I and the Ai-Media team will miss him greatly. We understand and support Alex’s desire to play a more policy focused role. Alex’s creativity, passion, experience and energy will be a real asset in progressing disability reform.”
