World Glaucoma Week
7 - 13  March, - Raising Awareness of the Importance of Eye Health. During World Glaucoma Week, Glaucoma Australia aims to educate all Australians about the consequences of glaucoma-induced diminished vision and its effect on the daily lives of patients. Glaucoma is the leading worldwide cause of irreversible blindness and is a devastating condition that robs individuals of their quality of life. Given the impact of the disease, Glaucoma Australia encourages all Australians to have a comprehensive eye examination for glaucoma especially if you’re over 40 and have a family history of glaucoma. World Glaucoma Week: Parliamentarians Help Raise Awareness of the Silent Eye Condition – Glaucoma
11 March, 11am - Mural Hall, Canberra. Federal and State Leaders in Canberra will lead by example during World Glaucoma Week (March 7-13), by having their eyes checked for glaucoma in support of Glaucoma Australia. Keynote speakers will include Senator the Hon. John Faulkner, Minister of Defence, a glaucoma patient as well as the Hon. Justine Elliot, MP, Minister for Ageing. Members and Senators will receive a free glaucoma eye screening using advanced retinal camera technology including an eye pressure check and a professional assessment from accredited optometrists, provided by Optometrist Association Australia-NSW/ACT division (OAA). Eye Health Forum

VicRelief Foodbank Refrigeration Facility Opening
