World Glaucoma Week: Parliamentarians Help Raise Awareness of the Silent Eye Condition – Glaucoma
11 March, 11am - Mural Hall, Canberra. Federal and State Leaders in Canberra will lead by example during World Glaucoma Week (March 7-13), by having their eyes checked for glaucoma in support of Glaucoma Australia. Keynote speakers will include Senator the Hon. John Faulkner, Minister of Defence, a glaucoma patient as well as the Hon. Justine Elliot, MP, Minister for Ageing. Members and Senators will receive a free glaucoma eye screening using advanced retinal camera technology including an eye pressure check and a professional assessment from accredited optometrists, provided by Optometrist Association Australia-NSW/ACT division (OAA).
